Visitor Advertiser Permit

The Visitor Advertiser Permit is granted to individuals entering the UAE on a visit visa who wish to offer advertising content through social media platforms, whether for monetary or non-monetary purposes.
This permit is part of the UAE Media Council’s framework to enhance a flexible regulatory environment that keeps pace with rapid changes in the media industry and strengthens the UAE’s position as a regional hub for creative digital content.

Applications for the Visitor Advertiser Permit must be submitted exclusively through licensed advertising or talent management agencies in the UAE.

Permit Duration

The Visitor Advertiser Permit is valid for three (3) months, and may be extended for additional period(s), provided that the total duration does not exceed six (6) months, subject to payment of the applicable renewal fees.

Permit Requirements

• The visitor advertiser must be registered with an accredited advertising agency or talent management agency accredited by the Council.
• The contract must be between the advertiser’s client and the UAE-based agency acting as a representative of the visitor to ensure all contractual obligations.
• The applicant must be legally competent and at least 18 years old (the Council may exempt certain age groups).
• Must have good conduct and reputation.
• Must not have been convicted of a felony or an offense involving moral turpitude or dishonesty unless rehabilitated.
• The advertising content must comply with the Council’s Media Content Standards.
• Completion of training and awareness programs as announced by the Council.
• No outstanding financial dues to the Council.

Must not have a previous permit under cancellation.

Applications for the Visitor Advertiser Permit must be submitted exclusively through licensed advertising or talent management agencies in the UAE, via the UAE Media Council’s official website, accompanied by the relevant contract between the visitor, the agency, and the advertiser’s client.
