Mohammed Saeed Al Shehhi meets with Minister of Government Communications of Jordan
His Excellency Mohammed Saeed Al Shehhi, Secretary General of the UAE Media Council, held a meeting with His Excellency Dr. Muhannad Al-Mubaidin, Minister of Government Communications in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, to discuss ways of cooperation in designing and implementing the Arab Strategy for Media and Information Literacy.
This came on the sidelines of the UAE's participation in the Gulf Radio and Television Festival held in the Bahraini capital, Manama.
During the meeting, the two sides also discussed the importance of strengthening joint Arab action in the field of content, games and electronic sports, and activating the goals of the Arab media strategy to confront the dissemination of what conflicts with the values and principles of the Arab and Islamic nation, and working to qualify and prepare a new generation of young media professionals and provide them with the skills and experiences that keep pace with the successive transformations they are witnessing. His Excellency Mohammed Saeed Al Shehhi stressed that, under the directives of the wise leadership, the UAE is keen to continue supporting the Arab media process and enhancing cooperation and joint work in a way that contributes to the development of a more effective and influential Arab media system based on advanced strategies that keep pace with the rapid changes taking place in the sector, which would contribute to advancing the paths of sustainable development.
